Welcome to Great House Farm Luxury Pods and Self Catering, a Glamping site offering 3 luxury Glamping Pods and a self catering farmhouse in the heart of Mid Wales.
A hillside retreat nestled in the rolling hills above the village of Erwood in the heart of Mid Wales run by the Jones family (Glyn, Lynne, Reece and Carrie), who have been farming at Great House farm for more than 50 years and is now run by the 3rd generation of the family – Reece.
Great House Farm Luxury Pods and Self Catering is a place to get away from it all, unwind and relax far away from the stresses and strains of modern life.
Our site is on a working beef and sheep hill farm dating back to the 1600’s when it was part of land owned by Oxford University. Originally named Llandeilo Hall, it is thought that the farm was once quite a grand settlement for its time. The farm is in the region of 200 acres and is criss crossed with many footpaths for you to walk on and explore.
The site is simply stunning, situated 272 metres high in the Aberedw Hills of Radnorshire, with views across the valley to Breconshire.
We have three beautiful self-catering Glamping Pods – two that cater for 4 people and one that caters for 6 people and our farmhouse can accommodate 12 people. We are a dog and family friendly location.
The Glamping Site is surrounded by beautiful and dramatic Welsh countryside and its rural life. Just to the west lies Aberedw Hill: a 450 metre peak with 360 degree views all the way to the Brecon Beacons and Hay Bluff and acres and acres of wild moorland for walking holidays.
Slightly further afield guests can enjoy life within the small towns of the area. With its many markets, towns, restaurants, pubs and villages. We are near Erwood (1 mile away), Aberedw (3 miles), Builth Wells (7 miles), Hay On Wye (10 miles) and Brecon (14 miles) and only just over an hour from our capital city, Cardiff.
The Elan Valley is about 40 minutes away, and the Beacon Beacons with beautiful walks, waterfalls and trails is also around a 40 mile drive away – a chance to climb the highest peak in the area, Pen-Y-Fan. The area is one of outstanding natural and cultural beauty.
Whether you’re looking for a short break to get away and re-charge the batteries, a romantic getaway, or somewhere for a family holiday, we hope you find us to be the perfect setting in this beautiful region.
